Building Barefoot

Building Barefoot

We've designed the Barefoot Series around the simplest, most efficient, and cost effective construction methods available. The hull bottoms are round bilge and can be ordered ready made, or you can build your own very easily from detailed drawings and precut mould frames.

Above the waterline the Barefoot is all flat panel construction and can be assembled from a precut kit of Duflex components supplied by ATL Composites, and backed up with a detailed building manual and plans supplied by Grainger Designs.

At every stage of the design process we've considered ease of construction for the builder.

The cabin top can be built on the shop floor upside down for ease of finishing, and lifted into place at the last stage of construction. All of the windows are fitted to flat panels so you have the option of fitting glass windows without the need for expensive moulds, and with much greater confidence of a watertight seal.
